The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Teriah’s Dreams Come True
It feels like forever that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) have been talking about adopting a baby, but first, they had to have their lovely wedding, and then Tessa had to go through her vocal cord problems. Then, it seemed like it was never going to happen until this week when Christine Blair Williams (Lauralee Bell) comes bearing good news.
According to Christine, there is a pregnant mother out there who is seriously considering giving her baby to Mariah and Tessa, but she also wants to meet them and get to know them first.
Tessa, of course, is absolutely thrilled, but Mariah is a lot more hesitant, as Mariah has always been the more cautious one in this relationship anyway. Plus, adoption was more of Tessa’s idea than Mariah’s as Mariah wanted Tessa to experience pregnancy just as she did.
“After their initial meeting with the first prospective lawyer, Mariah and Tessa were really disheartened,” Camryn Grimes said in the October 24, 2022, issue of Soap Opera Digest. “They’re ready to start this next chapter in their lives as parents, but then they were confronted with the harsh reality of, ‘Oh, this might not happen.'”

While Mariah is nervous, both she and Tessa agree to meet the pregnant woman and present themselves in the best possible light. “At this point, they’re willing to agree to any stipulation,” Grimes said. “However, Mariah knows that disappointment could be lurking around the corner…She doesn’t want to jump the gun, but there’s no doubt that Christine has injected new energy into the process.”

Mariah already went through a lot of maternal feelings, fear, and disappointment when she carried Dominic for Abby Newman Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) last year and got kidnapped and held hostage for her efforts.
