The reason why the first subject header centered on Ridge’s connection with Brooke is because she inevitably comes first in Bill’s heart. Brooke became available as Katie and Bill were having a nice meal at Il Giardino.
Katie said that if Bill knew Brooke was available, he would be at her doorstep. Later that day, after receiving an intel call from his realtor, Bill went to the Logan mansion and rang Brooke’s bell.
The last word in the above paragraph was a respectful wink to executive producer and head writer, Bradley Bell, whose parents co-founded this iconic steamer in 1987 when Ridge and Brooke first saw each other and fell in love.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Bill Spencer To The Rescue
Bill wanted to reunite with Katie. He told her that, yes, he loved Brooke at one time in his life. But he wanted Katie now.
Katie’s trepidation is real. She has every right to protect her heart from being broken.
Ridge’s friend and attorney is teased to have his love, Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer), leave town unexpectedly. That will leave him open for Katie, who will likely learn that Brooke is suddenly single on B&B.
